Projects I've worked on
This project has a very important mission: raising awareness of deaf individuals. Deaf people or those who have lost their hearing are invisible heroes. They face daily challenges that are often invisible to those who can hear. Despite increasing awareness in society, a significant gap remains in understanding the communication barriers and emotional experiences of deaf people. This project addresses that gap through the development of a Virtual Reality (VR) experience, enabling users to step into the shoes of a deaf person and gain firsthand insight into their world. Once we are done with the project, all of us will be left with a great understanding of how it is like to work as a team to achieve a goal that everyone can gain from.

Hondsrug Quest is a website where people can find and submit tasks to earn points. These points allow them to appear on a leaderboard. Users can complete tasks to try to rank higher than their friends. The website includes a login system, so users can save their progress. The data is stored on a server, allowing users to view their points and new tasks after logging in and verifying them for points on the leaderboard.
The inspiration for this project came from an idea given by a former teacher during the 2022-2023 school year. This idea inspired us greatly, and we gave it our own twist, such as designing it in the style of Hondsrug College and improving security. The project's goal is to make open days more interactive and educational for students.
This project was created using Visual Studio Code, with the website code written in HTML (for the basic functions and appearance), PHP (for the deeper functions and database connection), and CSS (for the website styles).
--- This project was made during my graduation year of the ICT-Lyceum at Hondsrug College. ---
